Au trecut 15 ani de la aparitia primului CDJ, care a inregistrat o performanta uriasa cu seria CDJ-1000. Anul 2009 propune ceva cu totul nou. Pioneer CDJ-2000 – este noul player profesional pentru era digitala.
Noul CDJ-2000 ridica standardele, avand posibilitatea de a utiliza muzica de pe mai multe surse: CD, DVD, USB si SD memory card. Ca noutate absoluta, CDJ-2000 are incorporat un soft care se ocupa de management-ul bazei de date: rekordbox™, disponibil pentru Mac si PC.  
Laidback Luke explica modul in care te poti pregati pentru "Hot Cue mixing", folosind noul software rekordbox™, dar si felul in care te poti folosi de functia Quantize.

Noul Jog este prevazut cu un sistem de led-uri care ofera o sursa de lumina in patru zone diferite din player-ul profesional. este atat de usor de folosit, nu face zgomot, fiind total diferit de ceea ce oferea predecesorul sau, CDJ-1000MK3.
